Serendipity is a unique Las Vegas dining experience. It has a casual, old-fashioned ice cream parlor charm with a fun menu, irresistible desserts and a grown-up drink list.
Serendipity 3
Leave your calorie counter at the door and indulge in the wonderful menu selections at Serendipity. This Las Vegas dining experience can be had for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Take my advice and bring plenty of friends. You’re going to need some extra mouths to feed. Appetizers are more like entrees. Salads are huge. Pasta dishes are easily more than enough for two. The “Don’t Be Afraid of My Alfredo” had lots of cheese, broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and toasted garlic bread that was delicious. The Pizza is a rectangular shape that must be two feet wide! Choose from Margherita, (my favorite) Casper, (all white), Pesto Italian, BBQ Chicken & Cheddar, Buffalo Chicken, or Magic Mushroom. No. Not those kind of mushrooms. Nobodies gonna get high.
There are sandwiches stacked high like the Triple Decker Grilled Cheese with Cheddar, American, Brie and Swiss. I had the High Heel Pump sandwich. Seriously, how’s a women going to resist a sandwich with that name? Served on chiabata bread were Prosciutto, Buffalo Mozzarella, Beefsteak Tomatoes, Arugula, Basil Pesto and Balsamic Glaze. It took me two days to finish it. The Burgers are delicious. Foot Long Hot Dogs come dressed many ways including the classic Chili Dog.
Now for the Good Stuff…….the Sweets!
There is a myriad of ways to fall, no make that LEAP off the diet wagon. I’m surprised Jenny Craig isn’t out there protesting. She’d never be able to hold out either. One look at one of their amazing Sundaes and she’d be waving a white flag and grabbing a spoon. No mortal can resist. Try one of their signature Frozen Hot Chocolates. Not sweet enough? Go for the Chocolate Blackout Cake. Listed on the menu as enough for two, it’s enough for four. There is also Apple Cobbler A La Mode and Carrot Cake in jumbo size, but it’s the Drug Store Sundaes that are the real show stoppers. Me and my gal pals ordered TWO Sundaes between the three of us. Even the server looked at us like we were nuts. I couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t decide on just one. We had the “Can’t Say No” Sundae, very appropo, with Humble Pie, Vanilla Ice Cream, Coffee Ice Cream, Banana, Peanuts, Hot Fudge, topped with Whipped Cream and the Strawberry Fields Sundae, Cheese Cake, Strawberry Ice Cream, Strawberry Sauce, topped with Whipped Cream. Both Sundaes were ice cream heaven in a dish.
Great View
One more reason to add Serendipity to your list of Las Vegas dining experiences is the view. It’s located on The Strip outside Caesars Palace and is an ideal spot to do some people watching. I’m not sure who’s watching who. I’m sure I saw some people eyeing our Sundaes. Hey, get your own.
