Best Places to Stay for a Bachelor Party Weekend

Keep in mind the prices are for a “general” idea. I chose Sept 7 & 8 2012 (a weekend stay) to compare cost. It will vary by day (cheaper on weekdays more expensive on weekends) and time of year (cheapest in summer and most expensive during big conventions and holiday weekends). Taxes and resort fees may apply as well. I’ve supplied the links. Book direct for the best prices and a price guarantee from most hotel/casinos.

These are all pretty close in price. We’re listing them from best pick: Orleans or Gold Coast (both across from the Palms), Stratosphere (on strip near downtown) or downtown at either the Plaza, El Cortez or Golden Gate. Rain Nightclub at the Palms courtesy clubplanet.com

Nightclubs for the High Rollin Bachelor

The nightclubs in Las Vegas range in price from expensive to very expensive. They are also very strict about having more girls than guys in the clubs which makes it really tough, but not impossible to get a group of guys in. Your best bet is to make arrangements ahead of time for table/bottle service or guest passes. Check out Light Group Concierge Services for great deals on table/bottle service and restaurant deals. I have no personal knowledge of their service, but it sounds terrific. Another way to go is with Chris Hornak at freevegasclubpasses.com. Chris will get back to you in a flash with the best nightclub deals in town. Marquee at the Cosmopolitan, XS at Encore, Rain, Ghostbar or Moon at the Palms and Pure at Caesars are the nightclubs we recommend. If you go for any of the high roller suites you’ll get day or nightclub passes no problem from the hotel, but make reservation for table/bottle service.

Dayclubs for the High Rollin Bachelor

This is the same deal as nightclubs as far as cost for cabanas etc. and getting a bunch of guys in. Again, call Chris for the best info. Marquee at Cosmopolitan, XS at Encore, Ditch Fridays at Palms, Rehab at the Hard Rock or Wet Republic at the MGM Grand are some of the best day club pool parties in Vegas.

Nightlife for the Blue Collar Bachelor

Blue Martini is located at Town Square on Las Vegas Blvd (the Strip) about 1/4 mile south of Mandalay Bay. It’s a big favorite with locals, has live music, DJ, delicious food menu, specialty martinis and an upscale vibe without all the typical Strip Nightclub red tape to get in. There is a cover for guys that can vary, but is usually $20 (less for locals). If you call ahead and make a table reservation with bottle service they wave the cover. Bottle service is generally $200 per bottle (good for 4-6 people), but almost anything in clubs is negotiable.

Bond Lounge is just one of the coolest places to drink, dance and people watch. It’s in the very chic Cosmopolitan. It’s a lounge so there’s no cover, no dress code, no hassle. Just walk right in and have a great time.

Eyecandy Lounge is another cool place to have a drink and bust a move at Mandalay Bay. Again, no cover,  no dress code, no hassle. Just a great time.

Nightlife for the Budget Bachelor

Town Square is a Las Vegas hot spot for locals and a great destination for a do-it-yourself pub crawl. Here are the best places to toss back a few: Yard House, over 100 beers on tap, Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge, with over 30 wines by the glass, 50 whiskeys, sampler flights and signature “winetails” plus throw in a cigar-friendly patio (you can purchase cigars here also), Coconuts Beach Bar & Mexican Grill, with great deals on buckets of beer and pitchers of Margaritas etc., Miller’s Ale House, 75 beers on tap and loads of specialty cocktails.

Downtown if you’re staying Downtown a visit to  Insert Coin (a video gamers dream bar) is a must. They also have rockin DJ’s and bachelor party deals. You can do a do-it-yourself pub crawl to many cool bars that are all within a block or two of each other. Put these bars on your list: Downtown Bar, Griffin, Hogs & Heifers or Mob Bar. Hang out under the Fremont Street Experience and dance to Free live classic rock performed on 3 different stages and buy yourself a crazy giant cocktail that are for sale all along Fremont.

Steakhouses for High Rollin Bachelors

You can’t go wrong with Prime at the Bellagio, Charlie Palmer’s Steakhouse at the Four Seasons, Carnevino at the Palazzo, SW at the Wynn, Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse at the Golden Nugget or Morton’s Steakhouse on the corner of Flamingo and Paradise Rd.

Steakhouses for Blue Collar Bachelors

Texas de Brasil located in Town Square is our best pick. For $46.95 per person (less than the cost of 1 ala carte steak from any of the above mentioned steakhouses)  you will get to experience an authentic Brazilian-American steakhouse with a rich, warm atmosphere and indulge in delicious cuts of beef, pork, lamb, sausage and chicken. It’s a carnivore’s paradise. Guaranteed to make you have to open that top pants button. Salad area with cheeses, salads and vegetables are included. Drinks and dessert are ala carte. Another option is at the Hard Rock. Guys Night out Dinner Special at 35 Steaks + Martinis. It’s a 4 course meal for $100 per person and includes a Welcome Shot and entry to Vanity Nightclub. The food is excellent.

Steakhouses for Budget Bachelors

Try Silverado Steakhouse at the South Point Hotel & Casino for very good steak in a fine dining atmosphere that include a salad, potato and priced from $30 – $42. For a real bargain go to Primarily Prime Rib, also at the South Point, for excellent Prime Rib in an attractive setting that’s slow cooked; priced from $15.95 to $21.95 for the bone-in cowboy cut. Includes soup or salad and potato. Additional sides, appetizers and desserts are a deal too.

Playing Golf in Las Vegas

The cost of golf in Las Vegas can vary as much as the room costs based on tee times, morning, afternoon or twilight and time of year. The bargains are usually twilight in the summer months. I call it sun-stroke golf.

Golf for High Rollin Bachelors

Shadow Creek- This is our top pick for an outstanding Las Vegas golf experience. Shadow Creek is one of the most revered courses in the country.

Shadow Creek

At one time it was the most exclusive course in the world. The only way on was by invitation. Played by Michael Jordan and other top celebrities, it is now open to guests of any MGM Resorts International property (MGM Grand, Bellagio, Aria, New York New York, etc). You’ll be taken to and from your hotel in style by limo. Green fees: $500. Memories: priceless.

Par Mates – Walters Golf  Hey, it’s a bachelor party weekend. Why not have a hot chick as your caddie? At Walters Golf you can play a round at Royal Links Golf Club and have a lovely Par Mate (female caddie) there who will, among other things, wash your balls and clean your…..clubs. Doubt it’ll help your game, but it’ll make it more fun! It’s an extra $225 for the Par Mate. You may want to check Walters Golf for Stay & Play packages that include many of the hotels we suggested.

Other ChoicesCascata and the Golf Course at the Wynn (only available to guests at the Wynn or Encore) are both superior choices for amazingly beautiful and challenging golf in Las Vegas.

Golf for Blue Collar Bachelors

Revere Golf Course - This golf course is just a short ride away in nearby Henderson and offers rates from $65 and up. They offer free pick-up from your hotel and have package options that include rentals and breakfast/lunch or specials on 36 holes. It’s a wonderful course that is highly recommended by locals.

Silverstone Golf Club – Another favorite among locals, Silverstone is a terrific course that is a good value. Rates can start as low as $49. Silverstone offers discounts for advanced booking. The further ahead you plan, the more you save.

Golf for Budget Bachelors

Primm Valley Golf courtesy golfinginlasvegas.com

Rhodes Ranch Golf Club – This is a great course and a great value. Waterfalls, rolling hill and mountain views are part of the experience. Green fees from $39 and up.

Primm Valley Golf Club - Primm is about a 25 minute drive from the Strip and totally worth it to play at this fantastic golf course. It has one of the best practice facilities and green fees are from $35 which makes it a big favorite among locals whether you’re on a budget or not.
