Tuscany Gardens is off the beaten path and is a favorite among Las Vegas locals. Read on to find out why.
As a locals Las Vegas restaurant guide, we try to come up with what we call a great “find”. The Tuscany Gardens is a true “find” in every sense of the word. Great food, great atmosphere, great service and great prices. Check the Review Journal for a$20 off coupon in every Fridays paper.
The Tuscany Gardens has an elegance about it that is both warm and inviting. If a romantic dining atmosphere is what you want, you won’t be disappointed here. Ask for a cozy booth when you make your reservations.
The olive oil and herb mixture that accompanied the warm fresh bread was the first thing to delight our palate. We struggled to maintain our self-control and not gorge ourselves with just bread. The Stuffed Mushrooms (Italian sausage, onion and ricotta cheese) and the Agnolotti (pasta filled with spinach and ricotta finished in a pink sauce) appetizers had us wanting to lick the plate.
For entrees we choose one of the featured dishes, Dover Sole Francaise, (batter dipped filet of Sole sauteed in a white wine lemon butter sauce) accompanied with a medley of fresh steamed vegetables, and the Spaghetti Bolognese (pasta with meat sauce). The Sole was perfect; delicate, light and flaky, with a beautifully balanced sauce. The pasta was a generous portion done just right; al dente. I do think the Bolognese sauce could’ve used a little more salt, but was otherwise delicious.
Dessert was out of the question…..until we saw the dessert cart. It was filled with more temptation than we could resist. We selected the Chocolate Covered Raspberry Gelato and the Frozen Spumoni Cake……a perfect ending.
Continue the romance. Just across the entry way is the Piazza Lounge with live music (except Mondays) from 8pm-midnight. Have a nightcap and a little old school cheek to cheek.
Located at 255 E Flamingo in the Tuscany Hotel/Casino (east of the strip) Open 5pm-10pm daily. (877) 887-2261
Not only did we add Tuscany Gardens to our Locals Las Vegas Restaurant Guide….we put them on our “speed dial”. They will be one of our favorite destinations for Italian cuisine from now on.
