Everyone in Las Vegas misses Wet n Wild water park since it’s closing in 2004 and finally we are going to get a new water park. I can’t wait to hit the “Lazy River” or (“Colorado Cooler” as it will be called at Splash Canyon) and summer is months away. Yay!!!!
THE OPENING HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2013!! It will now be called Wet & Wild. Go here for the latest info.
Splash Canyon Water Park
is coming to town and is not only scheduled to open in May 2012 on
Memorial Day, they are already selling season passes!! The park will be in the Summerlin area which is great news because it is usually a little cooler than the Strip in the summer. Five to seven degrees might not seem like much, but believe me, when it’s 110 in August on the Strip, 103 is a lot more comfortable.
Deal Time
Go to their website for a deal on season passes. If you buy before the official opening the season pass is $99 per person. After the opening it’ll be $139. The price for a daily admission pass for an adult is $29.99, so getting the early season pass will save you $$$. You can even do a “Flex Pay” which allows you to do 5 payments. Not bad.
Attractions
There will be plenty of giant water slides, tubes slides, kids wading pool, a wave pool, and the Colorado Cooler where you can float along on your tube in peaceful bliss. Private group picnic areas are part of the plans, lots of lounge chairs and a restaurant too. You can also rent a private cabana for the day that includes your own personal waiter. Sweet!
