More Spring Fun in Las Vegas 2012

From grass skirts to grass fields, Las Vegas in spring is a multicultural, multiethnic, multi-fun place to be!!

15th Annual Lei Day – May 5-6 2012

This is a Polynesian arts and crafts festival along with entertainment throughout the day. It’s a Las Vegas tradition for 15 years. No entry fee, so bring the whole family. Located in the California Hotel parking lot Downtown at Stewart and Main St. Just two blocks from the Fremont Street Experience from 9am – 6pm both days. Experience the spirit of Aloha!!!

13th Annual Pet-a-Palooza!!

On Saturday, April 21st grab a leash, get your dog and drive over to the Star Nursery Fields at Sam Boyd Stadium. Radio station Mix 94.1’s Pet-a-Palooza is back.  If you don’t have a pet you can adopt one there. Music by headline entertainers all day and fun pet contests make this event a party for you and your furry companion. Go here for a list of performing artists (including Matt Nathanson) and pet contest rules. Bring a pet food donation and get $1 off at the gate. Tickets $8 Parking $5.

11th Annual Pure Aloha Festival – April 19th – 22nd

The Silverton Hotel & Casino will host the Pure Aloha Festival. Ride the Carnival rides play the mid-way games, enjoy loads of Hawaiian fare, laugh it


up at the comedy show, dance to the music and enjoy all the entertainment at this wonderful festival. Go here for performance schedules and times.

Pinoy Pride Celebration – May 5th – 6th

This is the largest Filipino celebration in Las Vegas and you can find it at Town Square (a fun place even without a festival). Plenty of food vendors, retail vendors, rides, music, dancing and entertainment……everything you need for a fun time.

Saturday, May 5th 10am – 10pm.   Sunday, May 6th 10am – 9pm.  Tickets Adults $7  Kids, Military and Seniors $5.

Las Vegas Foodie Fest – April 28 – 29, 2012

Come hungry to the Silverton Hotel & Casino on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of April. There’s a Foodie Festival with Gourmet Food Trucks, Food Booths and a Beer Garden just waiting to quench your thirst and fill your tummy with all kinds of interesting and delicious foods. There will also be live entertainment and carnival rides. Part of the proceeds will benefit Three Square of Southern Nevada. $7 Pre-sale and $10 at the gate. Children under 54″ are free. Saturday 12pm – 11pm  Sunday 12pm – 9pm.




The International Latin Taste & Music Festival April 20 – 22

There are so many great festivals going on this April, I wish I was two people so I could go to all of them!! The Latin Taste & Music Festival is at the Rio. There will be all sorts of delicious foods and flavors that you just should not miss. Carnival rides and concerts for more entertainment. Admission is only $6 dollars and kids under 48″ are free. Open Friday, April 20 from 2pm – midnight. Saturday, April 21 from noon – midnight. Sunday, April 22 from noon – 9pm 2012. For tickets to concert on Friday, April 20 tickets are $35 in advance and $45 on the day of the event and include regular admission. The concert will feature Los Huracanes Del Norte & Patrulla 81.
